With the stimulation and sensory overload in children these days, yoga can serve as a tool to help kids train their mind and body to bring emotional balance. Melissa's kids yoga class includes gratitude and positive affirmation activities, slow breathing to calm their minds/bodies, fun yoga poses set to music, and take-home mindful coloring activities.

Women and girls have been behind many scientific discoveries, inventions, social movements, and other achievements. Children and teens of all genders (not just girls!) are invited to listen to a book to learn about about one or more of these women at this special story time. A short discussion will follow for those interested.

Mitzi, a trained therapy dog, will be visiting the Lynnfield Library hoping to hear some great stories! Children may sign up for a 10-minute session and choose a book or selection from a book to read to her. Mitzi is a patient listener, so reading to her is good practice for readers who are still struggling a bit as well as pros.
Program geared towards children in grades K-4. Space is limited to 4 children per day; anyone on the waiting list will get priority for Mitzi's next visit. To register please email Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 781-334-5411.

Informal Robotics Meet-Up
Come to our informal robotics meet-up and get a self-guided, hands-on experience with building and coding robots! We’ll provide the robotics kits, you bring your curiosity! This event is intended for caregivers and kids to participate together, with kids eventually becoming self-directed. If possible, please bring a laptop with the software provided by LEGO installed:
Feel free to explore the program and familiarize yourself with the software by watching some of the tutorial videos before you attend and meet-up! Grades 2-8. No registration required, but sharing of supplies might be requested.

The doors to the children’s room could use some decoration to make it more inviting, and we need your help! Join A Healthy Lynnfield to create a welcoming winter scene on the doors between the children’s and YA spaces.

The Library will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. today.
We will close early Tuesday, December 24 and remain closed on Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
We will reopen with our regular business hours on Thursday, December 26 at 9:00 a.m.
